Props
The props that will be used in the media production will be;
è A Creepy Mask: this is for one of the characters in the film (the masked man)
è A Cell phone
è Home telephone: for when she rings her mother
è A college bag
è A knife: for the masked man (killer)
è Paper ; for all the notes/messages she finds throughout the day
è Headphones ; for when she’s walking home listening to music
è Clock ; to show the fast forward of the day at college
è Oyster Card ; for her to get on the bus
Costume
The main girl starts off wearing her pyjamas. This represents that she is at home in bed and in her comfort zone.
She then gets ready for college, wearing a pair of skinny jeans, converse trainers, a hooded zip jacket and a t-shirt. This costume shows that she is a girl that likes to keep up with the latest trends, however likes to keep it simple, and looks like the stereotypical average college girl, not soo bothered about dressing up, and likes to keep it simple. This illustrates the equilibrium, of how everything is normal, and you cant really tell it’s a horror film, because the main character is not in a scary costume like they would usually have in horror films such as scream, Halloween etc. However, the masked man will be wearing a creepy face mask, with a baggy hood jacket, and baggy jeans, to illustrate the scariness in a horror film, and the typical conventions they have in a horror film such as scream having the white scary mask.
