Structure of the film

• The main protagonist is having a nightmare
• Flashes of a masked man attacking the protagoist
• The protagonist is fidgeting in bed
• she suddenly sits up
• She is shocked and sweaty and is breathig heavy whilst sitting on her bed
• She slowly gets out of bed and walks to the window
• she sees the masked man standing in her front garden
• she is terrified and quickly closes the curtains and walks backwards
• Mum comes into the room
• Mum tells her to get ready for college
• she gets ready
• she goes downstaris, eats breakfast
• She is about to get out of the huse when there is a letter coming through
• She looks at it and sees tht its got her name on it
• she opems it and find a creepy message inside
• she thinks it might some kind of joke and throws it away
• she walks out the door
• she is walking to the bus stop when she feels some one is following her
• she looks back and no one there
• she is at the bus stop waiting
• she gets on the bus
• she gets out of the bus in front of the college
• she walks into college
• the clock goes from 9am to 3pm
• she walks out of college
• she is walking towards the bus stop
• She feels someone is following her
• she looks back and no one is there
• she is on her phone texting, she looks up, catches a glimpse of the masked man
• she is shocked and he has disappeared
• she gets on the bus on the way home
• she gets off the bus and is walking home
• She looks around the street is deserted
• She carries on walking and bumps into a hooded man
• The hooded man just walks off
• She looks back to say sorry return them what they dropped
• He has vanished
• She opens the piece of paper he dropped
• It is the same creepy message that she got in the morning through the post
• She rips it and throws it away and keep on walking
• She walks into the house and no one is home
• Mum left a note saying she will be home late
• She put her bad down and goes upstairs to get changed and freshen up
• She walks into her room and closes the door
• She walks out in her comfortable clothes
• She goes into the bathroom
• She is washing her face
• She looks in the mirror and sees the reflection of the masked man
• She is shocked and looks back quickly, no one is there
• She breathes heavy and walks out the bathroom and dries her face with a towel
• She goes downstairs and tries to call her mum
• There is no signal
• Suddenly the doorbell rings
• She goes to open the door
• No one is there
• She goes back into the living room and switches on the TV
• Suddenly there is no power and the TV/lights all switch off
• She grabs her phone and tries to call for help
• The doorbell rings and someone is knocking on the door hard
• She is scared
• She opens the door and no one is there again
• As she is about to close the door the masked man pushes the door so she falls on the ground
• The masked man is standing above her with a knife ready to stab
• She screams
• She wakes up sitting on her bed sweaty and shocked
• She walks to the window and pushes away the curtains
• The masked man is standing there in her front garden
• She is shocked and steps away from the curtains and bumps into the masked man behind her
• She screams

How the film Will look and sound

Visuals/Camera:
The film is horror film so its going to look creepy and supernatural. To make it supernatural we are going to use long shots to shoot the maskman to show that danger is approaching. We will use closeup shots of the protagonist to show her emotions and feelings. We are using close ups and long shots to add tension, suspense and to emphasise certain shots.

Sound:
 The sound of dialogue and other sound within the film world will be present (diegetic sound). We will also be using some Non diegetic sounds such as background music to create suspense within the scenes/shots. Most of the background music heard in the sequence will be parallel sounds; there will not be any contrapuntal sounds so that the footage can match the sounds creat a real horro film. Also all music used in our sequence would be composed by us. For example we are going to use creepy horor sounds for the shot where the protagonist is being followed by the maskman, and when she gets killed.

Techniques: 

We are going to use different editing techniques such as zooming in and out of main objects to emphasis main objects and we will be uing close up shots of the main protagonist so the audience can see characters movements and facial expressions. A fading technique is going to be used to fade to the last shot into the credits at the end of the movie. Other editing techniques we will be using will be adding the music to the film, we will use typical horror movie sounds to stick to the genre conventions.
